There are 2 Grand Prizes to be won. 1 side of beef (pre-cut) will be equally divided by the Trail’ End Beef’s butcher to ensure 2 even quarters are provided for the raffle.
Trail’s End Beef will give cutting instructions to the butcher prior to JTRS receiving the meat. No custom cutting will be available. Trail’s End Beef will use their expertise to ensure a variety of cuts of various sizes are provided to each winner.
Winner can expect to receive approximately 140 pounds of beef.
Beef will be ready for pickup in August 2022. No storage is available, winner must be able to pick up their prize in a timely manner or risk forfeit of their prize. No shipping available.

The Fine Print:
Raffle Rules and Regulations
Journeys Therapeutic Riding Society (JTRS) will establish and maintain rules to govern the conduct of the draw and awarding of the prize. The rules must comply with these Terms & Conditions. Rules shall be available to ticket buyers, if requested.
Raffle rules shall include the following:
a) raffle tickets shall not be sold to a person under 18 years of age;
b) a requirement that the licensed charity’s raffle ticket sellers advise adult ticket buyers not to write the name of a person under 18 years of age on the ticket;
c) there are no restrictions on the licensed charity’s members, or their families, buying tickets;
d) 500 tickets will be for sale. There is no minimum number of tickets that must be sold before requesting a draw date extension or cancelling the raffle. A draw date extension is unlikely to be approved if the break-even point is passed, i.e., enough tickets are sold to cover prize costs and expenses. Payment forms accepted are: Cash or Cheque made payable to “Journeys Therapeutic Riding Society”;
e) exact location of the draw(s) will be at Winning Strides Stables outside of Nanton, Alberta on July 31st, 2022. The winner does not have to be present at the time of the draw;
f) the draw will be conducted in front of witnesses at Winning Strides Stables. Two tickets only will be drawn by a member of the public (not participating in raffle) from a ticket tumbler or a clear vessel;
g) 2 prizes will be awarded. If a winner is not found a second draw will take place at a later date;
h) no cash alternatives for the prize;

j) condition of prize is new/custom;
k) if a winner cannot be located JTRS will i) go back to point of sale to try and locate the winning ticket purchaser; ii) advertise on social media or in the local newspaper iii) do a second draw on August 7th, 2022 to determine a new winner;
l) this is not a sport lottery, single ticket purchases only, no discounts for bulk purchases;
m) ticket buyers may not cancel their raffle ticket for a refund of the purchase price;
n) in the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket, and that the licensed charity and AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub;
o) Payment cheques will be deposited one month before draw date to ensure sufficient funds. If a cheque is NSF the ticket will be removed from the draw.
